PHASE 1: SURFACE PREPARATION
STEP 1 - SURFACE REPAIR
HOLES : You should repair with hydraulic cement. We recommend use “Rapid Set” products.
CRACKS & CONTROL JOINTS: Repair and fill them with an appropriated epoxy filler.
CONTRUCTION JOINTS & COLD JOINTS: Must be honored. We recommend use appropriate metal dividers.
STEP 2 - CONCRETE GRINDING
Grind the concrete floor with metal diamond #30/40 to profile the concrete and clean it for any glue, paint, thin set and residual.
Vacuum the area and clean it with alcohol.
STEP 3 - LEVELING
For surfaces that require leveling or extensive repair more than 1/4” thickness, we recommend to use self-leveling ULTRAPLAN underlayment or similar for interior floors. And for exterior floor MAPECEM 102 or similar. Read specs for the right priming, mixing and installation.
PHASE 2: POLICRETE SYSTEM
STEP 1 - MOISTURE
STEP 2 - LEVELING
ULTRAPLAN
Apply ULTRAPLAN. Grind after dry with metal diamond #40, if necessary to flatten the floor.
